One of the characteristics of the crypto assets market is that it operates around the clock, without the opening and closing time restrictions of traditional stock markets. The price movement of digital assets like Bitcoin and Ethereum changes every moment. Theoretically, this uninterrupted trading model should provide investors with more profit opportunities, but in reality, it often has the opposite effect, especially for ordinary retail investors, as it becomes a potential loss trap.

Recently, I met a retail investor whose trading behavior was shocking: for nearly a week, he spent an average of over 16 hours a day staring at trading software, making 2-3 trades every hour. As a result, he not only paid over $800 in fees but also lost more than $3000 in his account. Even more absurdly, he complained: 'I'm more diligent than professional traders, watching the market without a moment's relaxation; why am I still losing so much?'

The dilemma of this retail investor actually reflects the fundamental reasons for the losses of many Crypto Assets investors: misguided efforts, inefficient market monitoring, and self-deception. They mistakenly believe that imitating the external behaviors of professional traders will lead to success, while ignoring the core logic and strategies of trading. Ultimately, this ineffective effort of 'self-motivation' will only result in a gradual loss of funds.

We need to recognize that blindly staring at the trading interface for a long time does not equate to effective trading. Many retail investors fall into a misconception: thinking that as long as they continuously pay attention to the market, they can seize every opportunity of price movement, fearing that they might miss any potential profit opportunity. However, in reality, the vast majority of market observation time is a meaningless waste of time.

For crypto asset investors, the key is not how much time you spend watching the market, but how effectively you analyze the market, develop strategies, and execute trading plans. Overly focusing on short-term price movements can lead to fatigue and misjudgments, and may also trigger impulsive trades, ultimately resulting in greater losses.

To succeed in the Crypto Assets market, investors need to cultivate a rational investment mindset, develop clear trading strategies, and strictly implement risk management. Instead of staring at price charts all day, it's better to spend time learning market analysis skills, understanding the project's fundamentals, and setting reasonable stop-loss and take-profit points according to one's risk tolerance.

Remember, successful trading is not built on endless market monitoring, but rather on thoughtful decision-making and disciplined execution. While it is important to moderately focus on market dynamics, one should prioritize improving their trading skills and mental fortitude. Only in this way can you find real opportunities in the always-on Crypto Assets market, rather than becoming a victim of the 'watching the market curse.'
