Introduction to Vision (VSN)

Vision (abbreviated as VSN) is a new cryptocurrency token jointly launched by Bitpanda GmbH and the Vision Web3 Foundation, with an initial issuance of 4.2 billion tokens. The token is deployed on the Ethereum mainnet, follows the ERC-20 standard, allows for cross-chain minting and burning, and features on-chain governance and staking rewards mechanisms, making it an important bridge connecting users with Web3 infrastructure.

The relationship and conversion mechanism between BEST and PAN

The issuance of VSN is accompanied by a token merger - merging the Bitpanda ecosystem token BEST with the cross-chain protocol Pantos’ PAN. The conversion ratio is:

• 1 BEST = 4.91 VSN
• 1 PAN = 0.89 VSN

Users need to “voluntarily convert” between July 9 and 16, 2025. Those who do not convert can still participate in the subsequent “delayed migration” phase.

Core functions: Staking and governance

VSN has two core functions:

1. Staking Rewards: Users can participate in staking through the VSN dApp to earn token rewards. The planned annual inflation rate for the first year is 5%, adjustable.
2. On-chain Governance: VSN holders can vote on parameters such as burn rate and ecological distribution, truly achieving governance autonomy in Web3.

Token economic model and supply mechanism

• Inflation Model: VSN has no total supply cap and dynamically adjusts the annual issuance rate using a “protocol minting + governance control” mechanism.
• Burning mechanism: VSN will regularly repurchase and destroy a portion of tokens, and the frequency and proportion of burns will be determined by community governance, thereby suppressing inflation and enhancing value capture.

Launch plan and circulation arrangement

VSN will first launch on Kraken and then expand to other CEX and DEX. It is estimated that approximately 2.73 billion VSN will enter circulation initially, while the remainder will be reserved by the Vision Foundation for ecosystem incentives, staking rewards, and liquidity management.

Risk Warning and Project Outlook

Although VSN has broad application scenarios, it also faces technical risks (such as smart contract vulnerabilities), market risks (such as volatility and liquidity issues), and regulatory risks. The white paper also specifically points out that VSN does not grant holders any shareholder rights or financial return commitments. However, as Bitpanda’s user base surpasses 6.4 million, the endorsement and ecological foundation of VSN have already gained a certain thickness. If it can smoothly expand into more dApps and protocols in the future, its status as a Web3 token is expected to continue rising.
